Sennheiser PX 210 BT Bluetooth headphone review
I managed to grab a pair of Sennheiser bluetooth headphones to make my listening habits "cordless". Initially, I was quite hesitant to buy a cordless headphone, knowing the poor sound quality they produce in general. However, the desire to liberate from cords broke the years long ignorance and finally I bought a pair of Sennheiser PX 210 BT from jbhifi for $399.
Design & Comfort :
The design and build quality are quite elegant. The comfort level is great for listening for long hours. The headphones are quite nice, it won't show off like a "helmet" as it's with Bose's "quite comfort". This fold-able headphones comes with a nice fabric case. It has a zip too ;-)
Cushions on the ear pieces and on the headband can be easily replaced. There are a couple of spare parts manufactures to obtain genuine accessories for these. In summary, the design and the solid built is meant to last for a period of time.
I connected Sennheiser PX 210 BT with my 64Gb iPod Touch as these two components were made for each other. The controls on the headphones make it easy to navigate through an album on the iPod and to control volume or to stop/play a track.
Quality :
The cordless headphones in general don't provide a good sound quality as I've said before. This is the compromise we have to pay, to have wireless capabilities on a headphone. Having said that, Sennheiser have done a great job to minimise the loss of sound quality. I was quite surprised at the sound quality offered by these. I was simply blown away. The mids and highs are perfect and the thumping is quite good.
Connectivity & Battery :
The operating range is around 10 meters and I've been able to use this around my house without any interruptions. The headphone holds up to 10 most recently paired devices in its memory. Each added device will be stacked following the "FILO" mechanism.
The battery offers around 10-12 hours of music, which is pretty good for these although the charging time is quite high, at 3hours. It's possible to remove the battery to recharge or keep it intact while recharging. However, I bought a spare battery for uninterrupted music for $79. What's cool about recharging is, it's possible to charge the battery by connecting to the laptop.Hence, I don't have to carry the charger around ;-)
